Jet Black Heart #FashionFriday + Giveaway!

So Valentine’s Day isn’t quite this single gal’s favorite holiday, but I don’t have a jet black heart.  Online dating hasn’t turned me that dark … yet. 😉

But I like that song and I feel like this outfit is that half and half of Valentine’s day.  Black dress, black shoes, black bag, and then this bright pop of red.  It works together and it kind of is a perfect Valentine’s or Galentine’s outfit.

I hadn’t worn this dress in quite some time.  But I had no idea what to wear recently and it caught my eye.  The fabric maybe hasn’t held up quite as well as some of my other decade old dresses, but it still looks in pretty good shape and the jacket totally changed the look and hid any minor imperfections.

And even if my heart is jet black, this pastel butterfly ring my parents gave me for my thirtieth birthday is totally changing that.  Yes, it’s beautiful.  Yes, I love the colors and how delicate it is.  Yes, I have wanted a butterfly ring for twenty years.  But my favorite thing about this ring is the meaning behind it.  You know, how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly and then the world is it’s oyster of sorts.  Maybe now it will be mine too.
