Last weekend, Mom, Dad, and I had the chance to attend a Musical Feast supporting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. These are unique events that bring a section of the DSO to a unique location for a special performance with an incredibly small audience.
Last year the Feasts sold out before we could snag tickets but we were just in time this year. Though it was a rainy evening, we had a blast at the home in Clarkston, Michigan meeting new people and watching the bassoonists showcase their immense talent.
I did not take any photos of the actual event because I didn’t feel that would be appropriate and wanted to focus on enjoying the evening, not snapping photos. However, I did sneak outside in between rain showers (okay, it was sprinkling when these were taken) so I could show you my outfit in the beautiful scenery.
I wish it would have been a nice day because I could have hung out in that yard forever and ever. Even so, it was nice to be out there for a bit and sneak a peek at some baby ducks on the river.
My outfit put two of my current favorite pieces in my closet together: a ruffled, structured top and a flowy pink skirt. I knew immediately I wanted to wear these pieces together and though Mom wasn’t sold on the outfit, I loved it and felt comfortable in it. When people complemented me on my “dress” I knew I had a winning combination.
I added my new Chloe bag, snagged on sale, and the look was complete. I have been dying for one of these bags for a couple years and to purchase one at a discount totally made me do a happy dance. There are plenty of deals still to be had out there so I hope you’re looking!
What’s your favorite item in your closet right now?
