I have always wanted a maxi dress for something different. I finally bought this one on sale late last year … aka in the middle of winter. This is not a winter dress. Not at all. What is it about maxi dresses almost always being summer dresses???
Then we had a long, chilly, rainy spring, and I just stared at this dress in my closet, planning to wear it and then having my plans thwarted.
I’ve worn it twice now. Once to dinner sitting outside at Prime + Proper and cocktails on the rooftop bar Monarch Club, and last weekend to dinner at 220 in Birmingham and some fun at their downstairs nightclub.
It’s the perfect dress for those kinds of occasions. The easy breezy days of summer, hanging with friends, and eating outside whenever possible.
This dress lends itself to muted, almost pastel accessories, clearly since I wore the same things each time. Clearly I need to mix it up next time.
