I’m feeling all the spring vibes with the sunshine and flowers. The warm, okay, this weekend HOT, weather also has me craving lighter foods and sometimes I wear my foods on my sleeve … literally.
I love this sweater because it’s such a great transitional piece. It looks incredibly springy but it’s a sweater so it’s warm enough for those days when there’s a chill in the air like the gusty day on which these pictures were taken.
Statement sweaters and sweatshirts are appearing more and more in my wardrobe. They can be fun or serious and are a real conversation piece.
The pink in the sweater really popped with this pink skirt (now on sale at Saks … go get it!). I am also excited to wear the skirt with other tops throughout the summer.
These photos were almost all taken on Belle Isle which is making a huge comeback over the past few years. it was packed the days we visited, full of people taking pictures in the daffodils and exploring the conservatory and aquarium.
If you are in the Detroit area you should totally check out Belle Isle. It’s perfect for taking a drive or a walk or exploring the flora of the conservatory or the sea life of the aquarium. I have a feeling it will only get more beautiful all summer long.

Very pretty outfit! I don’t have any statement clothing but your’s is very cute….I’ll have to keep my eye open to them in the future! Beautiful flowers and pictures…..We will have to go next time I come up!
