Navy totally doesn’t get enough love. It’s flattering and easy to wear but just a little more interesting than wearing black all the time. If you don’t want to branch out into patterns of vivid colors, navy is definitely the way to go.
When it comes to navy, one of the things that seems to stop people from buying and wearing it is how to accessorize. While I do think navy and black can be friends (I even have a dress with both colors), both of these outfits showcase it with light, pastel, neutral, and even metallic colors.
These pairings might not seem obvious at first but they really make the navy pop and keep the outfit from feeling one note or heavy.
The strapless dress popped with its band of gold on the asymmetrical bottom, while the pastel shoes and bag made the look very feminine, and so perfect for hanging out with all the stunning flowers in Winter Park.
The sleeveless dress has metallic threads throughout and went so well with a pearlescent bag and glittery shoes. This day I hung out at a strip mall with a fish pond and cute squirrels.
I love both of these looks and how they are similar yet different. I can’t wait to wear them again, or perhaps switch the accessories for an outfit that will feel fresh and new for me.
