These dresses are two that have been in my closet for a long time. I love them both and have worn them for some wonderful and memorable days and nights. They are in classic silhouettes in classic, yet opposite colors, and they each have their own hints of flair.
The black dress has this lovely, delicate lace overlay that catches the light. This dress pairs well with black accessories, but colorful ones work too. Every time I put this dress on, I remember how much I love wearing black dresses. How they are classic for a reason. Why most women have more than one black dress in their closet.
The white dress is one of my favorite pieces honestly. I found it on a deep discount and feel lucky to call it mine with the halter that hangs perfectly thanks to that long and heavy tie in the back. It’s perfectly balanced. If you have ever worn a halter dress, you know that’s pretty important so you don’t spend the whole night tugging at the dress.
The fabric is delicate, but it’s the little beaded stars that make this dress shine, literally 😉 I have worn all kinds of colors with this – blue, black, and this time hot pink. It pairs well with just about anything and can stand up to bold accessories without losing its starring role in the outfit.
White dresses aren’t quite as popular as black, but they are rising in the ranks. I find when I (or my mom) wear white, people tend to take notice. It’s not always a forgiving color and I know some people only like to wear it during certain seasons but it too is a classic for a reason.
I can’t pick a favorite between these two looks. They are wildly different and that’s probably what makes it so hard to choose. I like to mix my fashion choices up, and I often want to wear different things on different days. That’s what makes fashion fun and versatile.
