Last weekend was one of those absolutely gorgeous, sunny, perfect weekends. And we did some super fun things!
On Saturday our friends took us to the Country Club of Detroit. It was just beautiful sitting out on the 18th green of the golf course, watching the golfers, a wedding reception, and a bunny just enjoying his grass.
The property is fantastic inside and out with tons of flowers, old architecture, and lots of outdoor sports areas. We enjoyed touring it before relaxing with cocktails and dinner. The food did not disappoint as well. Mom’s Wagyu NY strip was the BEST, but the duck flatbread, crab and avocado salad, sticky buns (you guys, sticky buns!), and macaron made the meal one to remember from first to last bite.
We rounded out the evening by checking out the gardens at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. It was dusk and got buggy quickly, but it was rather magical and beautiful.
As we drove down Lakeshore Drive, we could see the moon glistening on Lake St. Clair and fireworks at the Edsel and Elenore Ford House in the distance. What a way to end a summer night.
For our sophisticated summer evening, I wore this bright one shoulder dress. I’ve actually had it for years and it was the first made to order dress I bought. The delicate fabric is so wonderful for summer. I paired it with super tall glittered Jimmy Choos aka dinner only shoes 😉
What fun summer activities have you been enjoying?
Dress: J Mendel // Shoes: Jimmy Choo // Bag: Dior // Bag Charm: Tiffany
What a fun night!! I love your bag 🙂
Thanks, Liz!
Beautiful dress, beautiful shoes, beautiful evening, beautiful woman! Great pictures and I’m glad it was such a nice evening. The summer is flying by and we just recently went on a golf trip to Baltimore while visiting friends.
Awww, thank you so much, Debbie. Summer is definitely going much too fast.
