A great pencil skirt is such a wardrobe staple. I have had this skirt for about ten years, and I still wear it all the time, all year long. In the winter I pair it with sweaters, in the spring and fall with blouses, and in summer with sleeveless tops. It goes with everything and gives me a polished look instantly.
I paired it with a simple blouse and headed outside to all the tulips in bloom. Dad just planted them this year and they are stunning. I wanted to feature them and know they are the real star in these photos.
I also had just gotten my hair done. I always have a great experience with Emilio at Alex Emilio in Royal Oak, Michigan. We were going for a rose gold vibe and he totally nailed it. The color really shines through in the sunlight.
I can’t forget about the fun Kate Spade shoes. Kate Spade products always have a fun flair and these polka dotted ones are no exception. Despite having crystals on them and being made in Italy, they were not outrageously priced.
The next time you don’t know what to wear, try a pencil skirt. What’s your go-to item in your closet?
Blouse: Just Cavalli // Skirt: Dolce and Gabbana // Shoes: Kate Spade // Bag: Dior // Bag Charm: Tiffany and Company // Sunglasses: Anna Karin Karlsson
The outfit is perfect for spring and I totally love the shoes! My go to item would be a little black dress. I love the one I bought with you and your mom for Alan’s wedding when I came up for a shopping trip.
