I have a confession. I don’t always love wearing pink. I know that is both shocking and disappointing. But because my skin has pink undertones, if I wear the wrong shade, I look … strange.
However, the great thing about pink is that it comes in so many shades. From the lightest shade of blush to the feistiest magenta, pink is a fashion powerhouse that belongs in everyone’s closet. We can all find a shade or two that works for us.
Me included!
The peachy blush of the striped dress is not only tamed by the deep, neutral color of the stripes, but is also super flattering. The stripes prevent it from washing me out as well. Pairing it with black accessories makes the look super classy and sophisticated, while the ruffle and single sleeve keep the look fun.
The hot pink dress has been in my closet forever. Seriously forever! I still love the fun vibes of it and pairing it with pink on pink on pink. It’s basically begging for that.
Then there is the floral dress with a cape. It’s still one of my newer items and I haven’t worn it a ton as much as I love it. It’s a dress with many shades of pink and a huge personality. It most definitely wants to be the star of the outfit, and that’s okay. It should be! Any dress with a cape should be the star of the outfit.
It may sound strange but there are more caped dresses out there than you think, and they are really cool and fun. When I see one, I can’t help but want to add it to my closet.
