Just like back in Michigan, I am always trying to explore my new surroundings here in Florida. This day, the activities were pretty low key, but that was okay, sometimes those days are the most fun.
I actually drove past this produce stand on the way to The Villages one day and just had to return to check it out. They had some great peaches, oranges, and watermelon. I hope I come across more little produce stands like this as time goes on. There is so much great farmland in Florida, and it is really something to be able to try it only hours off the trees.
Then I explored a bit of Clermont, driving past lakes and grabbing a coffee in this food hall. It’s a neat but quiet downtown that was perfect for a quick walk. I could tell there are definitely some off the beaten path hidden gems there.
For a low-key day, I didn’t wear a very low-key outfit, and I’m okay with that. Life it short, time is precious, and if I really want to wear sparkly platform sandals, I’m probably going to do it. Why not???
The shoes may have been the star but I was super comfortable in my wardrobe staple purple dress and liked how the pastel Speedy bag brought together what felt like sunrise or sunset vibes to me. Allowing the colors of nature to inspire my outfit is always a hit for me, even more so when it’s the stunning hues of dusk and dawn.
I also took a picture that I hashtag-ed on social media in hopes of getting a shout out for my book on Sunday Today. It hasn’t happened yet, but hope springs eternal.

Nice produce at a local farm store is the best! Glad you had a good day!

Fresh produce tastes totally different than stuff from the store.

Lotta exploring to do in your part of Florida! The area between Orlando and the Villages is the best — actual hills! 🙂

Haha, yes, that is quite an interesting drive. I love that there are so many driving trips in Florida.
