Red lipstick is one of my favorites, but I rarely wear red clothes. They just aren’t something I find myself drawn to regularly.
When I saw this dress on sale last year, I fell in love instantly and still enjoy wearing it. Maybe because it takes a classic red dress to a hip, young, fun place with the red pattern and attached bow.
This dress is ready for any fun summer activity from concerts to dinner, and I’ve worn it to both of those occasions and then some.
I was drawn to it because I hadn’t ever seen anything like it before. those are the pieces I always love adding to my wardrobe.
I’ve worn it twice recently – once to a cocktail class and once to dinner – with different accessories and hair styles each time.
I am wearing the same shoes in different colors. They were both a part of the Neiman Marcus 100th anniversary collection, released waaaaaaaay back in 2007. I bought the grey ones immediately and always thought they were too big to wear.
So I had NEVER worn them until this week. It’s like having new shoes.
The others are crocodile and were purchased on a steep discount. I wear them all the time and still love them. The red bag is also part of the NM 100th anniversary collection.
The latter photos with red purse and silver shoes were taken at Prime + Proper this week. Mom and I went for a super tasty dinner and to bid farewell to Walter the executive butcher and our friend. We are so excited for what is in store for him, but we will miss him and hope to see him again one day soon!
Goodbyes and change are both hard but so necessary for growth in life. We are excited for Shelby to take over as lead butcher because you know we celebrate girl power around here!
