So we’re mostly ready and waiting for fall around these parts. It is hot and humid and has been either hotter because it’s sunny or more humid because it’s raining for several months now, and fall is on everyone’s mind.
Since I can’t bring fall on sooner, I took my feelings and put them into this title, showcasing two red outfits.

Red isn’t my favorite color. I sometimes find it intense to wear, and I am unlikely to wear it on days I am stressed, like if I an going to the dentist or doing something out of my normal comfort zone. However, I do see the beauty in the color and understand that it can also be incredibly empowering.
Takes this dress for example. It is so feminine with the sweetheart neckline and the drape, that I had to pin up with poppy hairpins. That’s right, I pinned it up with hairpins because sometimes you have to get creative in order to wear a dress you love.

The different fabrics of the dress and the mini length add some intrigue and fierceness to it. This is one of those dresses I just feel really good wearing. Plus, it pairs with a variety of accessories to change it up for repeat wearing.
The other outfit has different, rather Florida inspired vibes. I love the poppy print, and I am always up for a matching outfit. They are such an underrated fashion statement. It’s a fun and happy outfit that doesn’t pair as well with accessories, in part because it’s important that the dress is the star of the show.

Lately, I’ve been thinking I should start wearing more red. Maybe it won’t ever be my favorite color, but it makes a fashion statement that is always striking.
