Disney World does a lot of cool things, but how they celebrate holidays might be one of their coolest. Even if you aren’t heading to the parks, the resorts go all out to bring festive vibes to all who walk through their lobbies. And no resort beats the Grand Floridian.
At Christmas, it’s the giant tree and gingerbread house, and at Easter it’s the intricate chocolate Easter eggs depicting so many Disney classics. While they might not pack the punch of that shimmering Christmas tree, when you take the time to look closely at them, they are absolutely breathtaking. It blows my mind that the pastry team at the Grand Floridian creates these artistic masterpieces each year.
They are all cool, but the Luca, Encanto, orange bird, and Princess and the Frog ones were some of my favorites. I will make a point to visit the Grand Floridian for these memorable holiday displays each year, and if you are in Orlando you should as well.
For the outing, I wore an Easter celebration worthy dress that can go from day to night. The purple color with tonal sequins is perfect for the holiday and the glamorous resort. I paired it with glitter shoes and a neutral bag to round out the look.
Spring and Easter provide such a promise of hope and renewal. They did in Michigan for sure, where buds on trees and flowers popping out of the ground were literal indications of a long and cold winter finally coming to an end. But here in Florida, it’s also a nice time to feel hopeful, even though it’s already 90 degrees outside. Happy Easter!
