I bought this dress for Mom. And it’s very likely she will also wear it. But in the vein of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the dress looks good on both of us. It is basically a magic dress.
Maybe it’s all the shiny sequins.
I’m attracted to pretty much everything with sparkle, and this dress is no exception. The gold-black sequins that somehow didn’t get caught in my hair with every movement, are super eye catching.
It’s also nice that the dress is long sleeve and has a high neck. This makes it different than most other dresses out there and slightly more practical for winter. I did say slightly.
This dress is designed by Milly who is really one of my favorite designers right now. Her dresses are affordable and most are made in America. This dress looks waaaaaaayyyyyy more expensive than it was. In fact it’s still available … and on sale at Saks. Lesson number one of shopping online is to ALWAYS price check.
I paired it with more sparkles in the form of gold and black glitter heels and some gold and red infused makeup.
All for another night at the Shinola Hotel which is becoming my second favorite hang out in Detroit. You all know Prime + Proper is still first. #sorrynotsorry
Do you like sequins?

Really cool dress!! Looks great on you and will also on your mom. I had a silver sequin dress that I wore for New Year’s Eve many years ago and I loved it! I wore silver sequin shoes and it was a hit with many compliments received!
