I love a shimmery dress, but I’m guessing you already know that. I mean I wear a lot of shimmery things.
Here’s the thing about shimmery dresses: generally speaking they are sequined and rather formal. You can probably also guess that doesn’t always stop me from wearing those sequined formal dresses during the day to do rather mundane things. I mean life is short, wear the sparkly things.
But then I found this dress that is very shimmery, but not sequined. The fabric itself is baby pink metallic that leans silver. The shimmery vibes in that light color make it totally daytime appropriate, although it could definitely work for nighttime as well. It’s perfect for all the vacay vibes as well as heading into spring. And when a dress isn’t sequined, it doesn’t get caught on my hair all the time. If you wear sequins and your hair down, you know exactly what I am talking about.
The other thing that makes this dress super fun and versatile for any and every occasion is the draping at the shoulder and waist that swoops all around. I do love something that flows and has movement, and this dress most definitely does. It is balanced out with the tight bodice with rouching. It’s all about balance, most of the time 😉
Because the metallic in the dress leans silver, I paired it with silver/grey accessories to bring out those tones. It’s a bright and light outfit that makes me crave all the days walking between these palm trees.
