There are a few things you may or may not know about my sense of style. I love capes. They were a fall and winter, and okay spring, and occasionally summer staple in Michigan, but in Florida they might be even more important with the chilly nights, and lately chilly days too. Coats are fine and all, but a wrap adds so much pizzazz to an outfit, and it’s kind of like a super comforting, super fashionable adult blanket. Win-win for sure!
I love sequins and crystals. This two piece matching cape and dress have the most beautiful sequins that are different shapes and catch the light in the loveliest way. The crystals on the shoes in the non-matching cape and dress do the same. These are only two examples of the many, many sparkly shiny things in my closet. Sometimes when I’m not all dressed up and going out, I spot the shimmer in the closet and it makes me smile.
I love metallics. Though they have the same vibe as sequins and crystals, they aren’t exactly the same. Metallics are a little more wearable on a daily basis since they lean a little more sophisticated than nightclub. Don’t get me wrong, both vibes are equally amazing.
I do have some gold in my wardrobe, but much more silver, probably because it’s more flattering against my skin and hair.
The two piece dress has silver sequins, and though not metallic, the grey fabric is wonderfully tonal. Paired with a silver purse and some over the top platforms, it’s a look that can’t be missed.
The other one is a close second with the same bag and aforementioned pumps that glitter and shimmer with every step. It features a metallic dress that has such a unique fabric that’s so eye catching. Paired with my good old favorite wrap and a brand new flower hair pin that stands out with it’s shape and stunning color, this outfit is one I can definitely imagine wearing again.
