This is another one of those posts with a few fashion pictures from my old life and a few from my new life.
Old and new. Maybe that seems like an extreme description, but it’s pretty true. This is a huge change and it feels like a completely new life, especially right now. Sunshine and warmth instead of cold and snow. New house. New places. New people. In some ways I’m the same old me, and in some ways I am taking this as an opportunity to be a new person too.
I certainly feel different. And I think that’s a good thing, but I think the main difference is that I am happier. Certainly things are more complicated than that, but in general, sunshine makes a big difference in my life. A new house. A fresh start.
I’m not always a fan of tiny dresses, such as this one. In fact, it’s one of the smallest, shortest dresses in my closet. But I had my eye on it awhile and I finally bought it. I don’t wear it all the time, but I do love it. It’s bright, has a tonal leopard print that’s almost hard to spot, and is just a great, happy, summery dress.
I wore it for a night out back in Michigan. A night that was wonderful until it turned chilly and brought on rain. We ate at Bistro Joe’s #saverestaurants and my cocktail matched my dress. It was a wonderful night.
Some of these photos were actually taken in my Michigan home. I don’t really miss it there. That’s kind of weird, but I think it also means I was truly ready to leave. I do hope that it’s a wonderful home for the people that moved in.
I wore it more recently for a long walk around Windermere. With a great coffee from Paloma Coffee, some seriously cool trees, and one of the many, many lakes in the area, it was an equally wonderful day.
Maybe I should wear this dress more often. It seems to bring on the good times.

Very nice dress on you! That close up in the Michigan house by the fireplace shows the great legs you have and I know you work hard on keeping in shape. It certainly pays off and that picture really accentuates your figure. Yes, wear that dress more often! You look great in it.
