Don’t be afraid of ghosts, skeletons, or wearing white after Labor Day.
Halloween is upon us, and as usual, downtown Northville is all dressed up for the season with skeletons placed in every nook and cranny of the city that is still bustling with people walking around to enjoy the season, shop, and eat indoors and out.
I really can’t tell you how much I love the skeletons. They are so fun and have kids and adults alike fascinated and walking all around to try to spot them all. I don’t think I ever have spotted them all, but I still absolutely love seeing them, perhaps this year more than ever. We seriously need some spooky joy and these bones buddies brought it.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure about this outfit when I left the house. I had somewhere to be and had to leave. I actually planned on going home to change, but then the outfit grew on me. I wore one of my favorite brightly colored dresses and felt the need to top it with a jacket for the chilly weather.
I wasn’t sure the two went together at first, but the longer I wore this outfit, the more I liked it. I stuck with it, and I have no regrets. Fall can be a gloomy season, but this outfit, and the sunshine on this day, brightened everything, including my mood.
Turns out skeletons and questionable fashion choices aren’t so scary after all.
Has an outfit ever grown on you the longer you wore it?

Halloween decorations are the best! We take a walk around our neighborhood every day, and always appreciate the creativity people put into decorating their yards. 🙂

Great decorations and love the outfit! The pictures are perfect with all the colors. Really looks like fall and Halloween. I love your fashion skill. I’ll have to try your advice about trying an outfit even if it doesn’t feel right the first time! Thanks for the tip!
