We have had record breaking heat this week in Florida. I can’t complain given that back in Michigan there has been a serious ice storm that has left the area rather crippled. Here in Orlando, the sun is shining and the heat is on, sending wishes for the slight chill of winter packing for the warm days of spring and the hot days of summer.
It means while I kind of want to be wearing my sweaters and jackets and maybe even a pair of boots, the weather has clearly dictated that I break out all the bright colors and floral prints. So I recently wore one of my favorite fun and flirty floral print dresses that I also wore last summer in some photos I haven’t yet shared.
It’s a really easy dress to wear that I lean on when I’m at a loss of what to put on and need an instant pep in my step. Because it’s pretty hard for a frown to be an accessory with all these bright colors and the structured flare of the skirt.
This dress screams vacay vibes, Easter brunch, and all the fun spring activities. Because it is SO bright I tend to pair it with more bright colors. It just doesn’t lend itself to black shoes or purses. It needs purple and blue and pink and green. And who am I to argue with a dress with a big and bright personality.
It just so happens that I paired it with two different blue Burberry bags, each with their own vibe. The shoes are wildly different, and while I prefer the blue pumps, I don’t mind the plum platforms either. When you want to re-wear a dress that is as memorable as this, it is important to pair it with different things to bring new life to it each time.
Are you ready for spring?

It does remind me of an Easter dress. I love all the colors and I too like it just a bit better with the pumps look although I still like it with the plum shoes too. I am so ready for spring although this was one of the easiest winters here in southern Ohio. The only really cold weather here was at Christmas and that was extremely cold for about three to four days with lots of snow. Since we haven’t had any real measurable snow since, it’s been a fairly easy winter.

Then I guess you are really ready for spring since you already feel the warm weather vibes … kinda like Florida 🙂
