I recently made my first trip to Disney Springs. I was actually going to go before Christmas but when we drove past, it was packed, so we quickly made other plans. Then when I was planning to do something else, it did not look that crowded, so we changed again and stopped to explore.
The day was a little too hot, I wasn’t wearing my best walking shoes, and I would have chosen a bigger purse so I didn’t have to carry my water, but really, I couldn’t be happier to have made a spur of the moment decision to explore a fun, exciting, totally new to me area.
The Christmas trees, each themed to a Disney movie or attraction, were still up. I wanted to see them, but I ended up being disappointed. The entire area wasn’t disappointing, but the Christmas decorations definitely aren’t a reason to visit alone. Someone mentioned they used to be together instead of spread out across the area, which made them more interesting.
Food, drink, and stores abound in Disney Springs, but really I just loved walking around. It was the easiest three miles I’ve ever walked! There is always something to look at, like giant Lego statues or the sun shimmering on the water. I can’t wait to go back and see more new things.
My fashionable yet casual outfit totally fit the mood of the Springs and my shoes ended up being pretty comfortable so I can’t complain at all. Simple, spur of the moment activities are always the best memories to hold onto forever and ever.
