I haven’t yet talked about my fashion for Eras tour. Though I did not make an outfit as I know so many people did, I still wanted to wear something inspired by one of m favorite Eras. By the way, I saw so many incredible outfits in person (including one that actually lit up) and have seen many, many more on Instagram. It’s so fun that this is not just a concert but a fully immersive experience.
I also knew I wanted to wear Teuta Matoshi. Not only has Taylor worn her creations before, but her dancers do during the Evermore/Folklore set on Eras. In addition, it’s a woman founded and owned brand that makes dresses in Kosovo where the designer is from. It’s a truly inspiring brand and one that I am happy to support.
Plus the dresses are really pretty.
I ordered two dresses. The long, lavender one with all the Speak Now and Lover vibes since it has little hearts on it, and the black mini dress with stars giving it a Midnights meets Reputation feel. I love both dresses so much! Ultimately, I decided on the black one for the show, mostly for ease of movement around the stadium.
But I wore the lavender one for dinner with my friend before our Miami adventure. It was a great way to kick off the festivities and celebrate both dresses. The flowing skirt, shimmery hearts, and bows at the shoulders, not to mention the way the fabric drapes across the bodice are absolute perfection. Paired with sparkly shoes, gold bag accented with butterflies, and my big wrap since it was our one and only chilly night this season, it gave even more Lover vibes.
I cannot wait to wear this dress again! Nor can I wait to wear the black one. The way the gold stars catch the light is pretty crazy. I also love the way it moves and that the sleeves have little zippers at the cuffs. I left them unzipped to show off my friendship bracelets. I am a Reputation girl at heart so it was fun to celebrate that era.
I added a cat eye sharp enough to kill a man (Midnights), stilettos for miles (Tortured Poets), and red lip classic (1989) to work more celebrations of all the Eras into my outfit.
What’s really special to me is that now every time I wear either of these dresses, I will think of the fun I had. I will mentally be transported back to that moment in time that was everything I hoped and so much more. Fashion is a truly powerful thing, just like music.
Bonus points if you know what songs the title is referencing. Where are my Swifties at?
