Can we talk about how awesome lightweight long sleeve dresses are? They are so underrated for not being too warm but offering a little more protection than a sleeveless or strapless dress. And in Florida when the sun goes in and out and winds suddenly kick up and a thunderstorm can take the temperature from ninety to seventy in half an hour, dresses like the two here are wardrobe rockstars.
The star print dress is a long time staple in my closet. I love the fun vibes of it and the striking combination of black and white. I paired it with a classic black bag and a pop of red lipstick. It’s a dress I will never tired of wearing and I often lean on when I am feeling indecisive.
The swirl dress is a new addition to my closet. I actually saw Kelly Ripa wear it on Live and fell in love. She must really like it too since she wears it quite often. The color is so lovely and the swirly print is different from anything else I own, as is the silhouette. The bottom half of the dress has different layers that are quite lovely and flow when I walk.
I paired it with a neutral bag with a pop of blue, metallic shoes, blue eye shadow, and Saturn earrings since the pattern reminds me of galaxies and outer space. I imagine this dress will find itself on heavy rotation in my wardrobe as well.
What’s interesting about both of these dresses is that they have a lot of personality that steal the show. They don’t need tons of accessorizing, making them great options when I need to rush out the door.
