While it’s always nice to purchase a new dress or accessory, sometimes it’s just as much fun to pull something out I haven’t worn in awhile. It can almost feel like new, and makes me really happy when wearing the same things over and over again can get old.
This dress is honestly one of my favorites. I’ve worn it for a birthday outing, a Valentine’s outing, and the first night Florida was awarded Michelin stars while I dined at Knife and Spoon, who won one that night and has unfortunately lost it since. Would you believe that was the last night I wore this dress, about four years ago?
It was definitely over due to be worn again, so while I celebrated America’s birthday and the fourth of July, I broke out some stars to fit the bill for the evening.
I still love the dress with the embellishment, mini hemline, and the long halter scarf that trails in the back. It’s an elevated classic, a little white dress meant to be worn forever and ever, never going out of season.
I paired it with accessories I have never worn with the dress before, so that made it more fun for me. The crystal shoes and bag added to the festivities and stars on the dress, but they also made it feel totally different to me. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, switching up accessories is the key to keep wearing a dress or skirt or top or pants over and over again without tiring of it.
The sunset was a pretty good co-star, especially for the Magic Kingdom fireworks. I have seen them many times, but never, ever with that sunset glow in the sky. It was true Disney magic!
It’s safe to say I won’t be waiting so long to wear this dress again!
