I find it is almost impossible to be in a bad mood when wearing yellow. It is an inherently happy color that is like sunshine even when clouds are in the sky.
That’s probably why I wear this dress quite frequently and have for a long time. I’m sad to say it’s the only yellow piece in my closet because I really do love the color so much.
Because I love the dress and wear it with regularity, I try to mix up ways to style it. Here are two that have the same basis with striking subtly different notes.
Both had bold shoes. One red for a contrasting pop of color, one yellow to match the dress almost exactly.
With the bag, I went the opposite route. A classic black bag and a classic brown Louis Vuitton.
What’s cool about yellow is that it plays with most neutrals – grey would work too – as well as a lot of bold colors – I’m envisioning pairing it with purple next time!
By combining bold and neutral colors with the yellow, it creates an eye catching look that isn’t too out there, but instead classy with just a little twist.
In the look with the red shoes, I had just had my hair done by the fabulous Olivia at Capricci Ricci (haaaaiiiiiii Olivia), so the pink/red of my hair popped with the shoes too. Because the salon is in Winter Park, I had to walk through the park!
In the look with the yellow shoes, I checked out a new to me coffee shop called Holy Grain. Holy cow is it amazing! I can’t wait to go back. I also went to the Waldorf where I have been doing Himalayan salt therapy (I hope to post about that in more detail one day) and saw the most beautiful YELLOW butterfly!!
Simple, classic outfits and little outings to fun and new places aren’t ever bad ways to spend a day.

I also love yellow and the yellow dress is amazing. The different accessories compliment the dress and show the different looks you achieved. Your hair looks great too! Looks like a wonderful day.
