Sunset Stream #FashionFriday

Like a lot of my clothes, I have had this dress for years and years.  Subsequently I’ve worn it many many times.

I like it, but both because I enjoy mixing up my own wardrobe and because I like showing you different things, I feel a constant need to mix it up.  And it can sometimes be hard to showcase a dress in a different way.

In order to freshen this dress up a little on this particular occasion, I allowed the look to be inspired by the colors in a sunset.  Yellow dress, orange bag and shoes, pink lipstick, purple sunglasses – all those gorgeous colors that go together so well in nature and it turns out they look pretty good in fashion too.

It sure would have been cool if the sky would have matched with some sunset colors of its own, but the blue sky and plant life out and about didn’t hurt either.

I guess the main thing about this post is that bright colors play much better together than people sometimes realize.  They are fun and happy, and we can use all the fun and happy we can get.
