I’m listening to 1989 Taylor’s Version on repeat like all the other swifties out there. 1989 has always been one of my favorites and though I love almost all the songs, “Out of the Woods” is my jam. I can listen to that song everyday all day. I will never forget being at the concert in Detroit with the giant paper airplanes being whirred around the stadium. It was everything.
“The rest of the world was black and white” is one of the lyrics to the song (the next line is a hint for next week’s post 😉 ) and these outfits showcase mostly black and white. Though I do indeed love to wear bright colors, there is something endlessly classic about black alone or paired with white.
The dress is one you have seen a million times around here, but I still love it with the Victorian vibes from the lace and the summer silhouette that goes from day to night in the blink of an eye. I did pop it with red shoes just because I have worn it so many times and wanted to mix it up. My makeup, including my eyeshadow has plenty of red in it as well.
The outfit combines two pieces I love. The white top that goes with pretty much all the skirts in my closets and the two piece black maxi skirt that is so classy with more than a hint of fun thanks to the feathers. I paired it with gemstone sandals and my tiny and incredibly LV multicolor speedy. It’s another thing that I just love and I am so glad I was drawn to and bought all those years ago.
These outfits also feel super appropriate as we move toward the holiday season, all sophisticated and ready for whatever festivities come around.
