I have had a classic denim skirt or two in my closet for quite some time. It’s so easy to grab a top, pretty much any top, and a denim skirt and dress it up or down for so many occasions.
I received this black denim skirt for Christmas and it is not just my new favorite denim skirt but one of my favorite skirts in my closet. It’s mini, but not too mini, sophisticated since it is black and tailored perfectly, and it’s so comfortable.
I recently paired it with two tops that have some serious personality and the looks are so different, even though the same skirt is the basis of both. The tie dye look is bright and happy. It has so many vibrant colors from the top to the shoes to the bag and the sunglasses. Just looking at these pictures makes me happy from all those vibrant hues.
The animal print top ensemble is a little more muted and classic, but no less memorable with the black accessories. Despite the wild print, it’s actually a pretty classic look that could go from the office to the bar.
This is why I love dresses and separates equally and find them both easy to wear. With a classic skirt like this as a star in my closet, there are an almost endless number of different outfits I can create with pieces new and old alike.
Skirt: Slvrlake // Tie dye top: Alexander Vauthier // Leopard top: Roberto Cavalli // Blue bag: Burberry // Black bag: Prada // Red shoes: Manolo Blahnik // Black shoes: Christian Louboutin

Both are great looks on you! I love the bright colors on the more casual look but who doesn’t love an animal print as well. Keep the great looks coming!

Great pictures! Always love the look of the Florida sky — so blue, so pretty. Nice fashion, too. Thanks for another fun post!

Yes, the sky really is a star of its own, day or night, from coast to coast.
