I apparently spend my time coming up with lame puns and plays on words these days. And I’m not mad about it.
We’ve had a couple rainy weekends here in Michigan that have been spent driving around town supporting some local businesses and going through the Starbucks drive thru so yeah, nothing major. Nothing great. Waiting for things to reopen. That’s life.
But it’s still good to get dressed (such a mood booster to wear makeup and do hair and put on real clothes) and get out.
On Mother’s Day (love you every day, Mom) we picked up some goodies at Plum Market for a special dinner, then grabbed Starbucks, and drove around for awhile. We marveled at the lines of cars waiting for take out. It was actually super nice to see that, particularly the hundred or so cars around PF Chang’s.
And that was before five o’clock.
Last weekend, more Starbucks (duh), a stop at Papa Joe’s for groceries (it’s ramp season y’all), and take out from Hazel, Ravines, and Downtown. We picked up the lobster roll kit, and though it most definitely is not the same as actually eating out, having something entirely different for dinner was a delight.
Dad and I also had the opportunity for more Starbucks (are you noticing a pattern???) and flower buying!!!!! We went to Glenda’s Garden Center because they have gorgeous flowers and it was super quiet. I can’t tell you how nice it was to do something almost entirely normal.
I’m hoping more normal is on the horizon. Sending you all love and fun as we head toward the unofficial start to summer.

Super cute on you and your mom!! And the garden center, wow! Love getting flowers. I haven’t done it yet but may go tomorrow for soil and herbs for the garden….

Oh, yay, I hope you spend some time in the garden. It’s so rewarding to look at, and herbs will be super tasty too!
