It seems like it’s always windy here. In the winter, that’s pretty unbearable, but in the summer, it brings those beach vibes with a warm breeze and kind of makes me never want to go inside … until my hair gets stuck in my lipstick.
When it’s so super windy, it’s important not to wear a skirt that will blow up in the air. That may or may not be a lesson I’ve learned the hard way.
It’s also the perfect time to wear something flowy or ruffled or both, to work with the wind instead of against it.
I purchased this ruffled skirt last year and fell in love with it. I couldn’t wait to break it out again and walking around after grabbing a coffee at my favorite spot, Red Dot in Northville, Michigan, was the perfect time. And I tried nitro cold brew for the first time and it was EVERYTHING!
The classic, casual blouse works so well against the ruffles. And I can never get enough of the classic Saint Laurent Tribute sandals, plus a Prada bag and that run ghost charm. It’s an easy look to wear all the time, but there’s a little something special about it with the skirt.
How to you embrace windy days?

What a perfect outfit! I love the ruffled skirt and blouse and great colors! Like you, I embrace the windy days in the spring, summer and fall but hate those winter windy days. For those, I wear a hat and scarf. For the summer ones, I do a pony tail or braid for the hair but don’t usually change much for the clothes…. Maybe I should pay more attention 🙂
