Last pictures involving Christmas trees. I promise. Maybe.
These were taken at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. I have been there three times in my life. Once in eighth grade for a charity event. That night still makes me smile. Once a couple years ago to see the gingerbread train. And again this past December to see the train again.
Honestly the train was a fraction of the size it had been before and was somewhat disappointing even if the entire lobby was decorated with fun candy themed décor. But the entire hotel was practically glittering with windows lining the walkways through the massive place, allowing the rare December sun to shine in. It was quite something.
In fact this was the first we had seen sun in almost two weeks. I made the last minute decision to get out and enjoy and I am so glad I did. It was perfection.
I really love this outfit too. It feels wintry but without involving tons of dark, drab colors that often bring me down. These winter whites and baby pinks matched the brightness of the sun and my mood. The sparkle also felt holiday worthy, but I would definitely bring this out again for a special afternoon activity, perhaps tea service, something the hotel is quite popular for.
What fun are you having this winter? Honestly, give me your ideas – I’ve run out and don’t want the winter blues to set in too deeply.

Love the outfit! It looks great on you and love that it is wintry and not dark colors too! For us, it’s been a really nice, mild winter so far with just a few really cold days. So we have been walking outside often. Also, January for me means exciting football and I can’t wait for the Super Bowl now.

Thanks, Debbie! It has been a rather mild winter, but I’m still ready for it to be over. I want some sunshine and warmth … it’s still too cold for me to walk outside.
