We took a break during the holiday season, but not I present my final fashion tribute to one of the Taylor Swift eras. The final one happens to be the first, the Taylor Swift era. I’ll admit I don’t know all the words to all the songs from that album, as I wasn’t a big fan from the start.
But I do appreciate all the eras now, particularly from the perspective of being able to see her musical and fashion evolution.
Because I don’t know these songs as well, I don’t relate to them quite as strongly. I chose this lyric from Teardrops on My Guitar as I do like that song a lot and I am always wishing on stars and the moon. I believe in the power of the cosmos so strongly and can feel its power on me.
I chose the outfit because it is two classic pieces from my closet and they do have the girly, country vibes from early Taylor. I don’t wear my denim jacket enough. Okay so I’m not technically wearing it here either but I still love the forever classic vibes of it.
I will also love this dress until it falls apart. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear and versatile. All the blue vibes of this outfit are popped with what else? A classic red lip, even though that didn’t come until the later eras either.
It’s been fun to pay homage to Taylor over the past few months. I find inspiration in her music and so much other music, so maybe we will see other musical tribute around these parts before long.
Who is your musical inspiration?
